Art of Exuberance

  As a versatile Artist, I create wool paintings using a variety of media. This series incorporates New England’s traditional Cushing dyes and Pro Chemical dyes, along with watercolor. The fiber techniques include hand-dyeing and spot-dyeing and then blending with powder paint mixed media to achieve soft, flowing surfaces. This method gives each piece a sense of movement, with bold, distinct lines and forms. Wool paintings are inspired by saving whales, whale sightings in Cape Cod Bay and my family’s passion for whale conservation.
